Kids Gear - Quality Inspection Associate

Job Description

Job Description

Description:

Why Join GoodBuy Gear?

GoodBuy Gear is the leading re-commerce platform for baby and kid gear, transforming the way families buy and sell secondhand. We are passionate about sustainability, operational excellence, and providing an unparalleled customer experience. We don’t just run fulfillment centers—safety and quality checking, using our own technology, is our bread and butter.

As a Quality Inspection Associate in our Columbus-area (Commercial Point) Headquarters and Fulfillment Center, you’ll play a vital role in helping families save time, money, and the planet—one item at a time.

What You Will Do:

• This isn't a traditional pick-and-pack warehouse position. You'll work hands-on with constantly changing products, inspect them for quality and safety, determine condition, accurately identify product information, photograph items, and make decisions that directly affect what our customers receive.
• You will learn and develop skills required to advance your career in a fast paced technology based start-up. You will have fun in a business that is lowering costs and elevating shopping experiences for parents. Be proud of the work that you do.
• Quality Inspection Focus: Conduct thorough safety and quality checks of products using our proprietary software and quality check database to ensure they meet our high standards before listing on our platform. Your keen eye will help maintain the trust and safety of our community.
• People who succeed here are detail-oriented, comfortable making judgment calls, able to learn product standards, and care about getting something right—not just getting it done quickly. Our highest performers shape their career by starting in this position.
• You will save thousands of products from landfills and help to circulate safe products back into the homes of families.

Work Schedule:

• Day shift available now with possible night shift soon
• Days: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Nights (coming soon): Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm - 3:00 am
• Full-Time applicants only

More Than Just a Paycheck:

• Career Growth: $20/hr to start with clear opportunities to increase your pay as you build proficiency, learn additional skills, and take on greater responsibility. Quarterly reviews are used to discuss performance and development opportunities for increased hourly wages.
• Predictable schedule. No rotating shifts.
• Three-day weekends provide you more time for your family or passions.
• Competitive Benefits: Includes medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and paid holidays.
• Referral bonus for bringing on your friends or family.
• Enjoy employee discounts on all your purchases from GoodBuy Gear.

Requirements:

• Excited to learn and incorporate feedback to grow your career
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot differences in product condition
• Ability to follow detailed quality standards consistently
• Comfortable making independent decisions using established guidelines
• Ability to balance accuracy and productivity
• Comfortable learning different product categories and identifying unfamiliar items
• Basic written/computer literacy for accurate product data entry
• Transportation to and from Commercial Point, Ohio (south of Columbus)
