GDIT is seeking an experienced Software Engineer Full Stack Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance applications. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing application frontend and/or backend framework and technologies. You will work closely with our development team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility. At GDIT, people are our differentiator; as a Software Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.REQUIRED SKILLS:Demonstrated hands-on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSSDemonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hiberate/JPADemonstrated hands-on experience with upgrading Spring boot, Hibernate/JPA especially from much older versions to newer versionsDemonstrated hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such a Vue, React, or AngularDemonstrated hands-on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)Demonstrated hands-on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.).Demonstrated hands-on experience building APIs and services using RESTExperience working in Agile development environmentAbility to plan, direct, and coordinate activities including information systems, systems analysis.Performs day-to-day technical oversight your internal roadmap, develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied.Performs horizontal integration planning, and interface with other functional areas, ensuring technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner.Demonstrated experience working independently on routine and new tasks/initiatives.Demonstrated experience researching the latest technological developments in the relevant operating systems to identify impact on organization operating systems and to anticipate changes.DESIRED SKILLS:Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux-based or Windows-based systems and shell scriptingDemonstrated experience with AWS or other cloud platformsDemonstrated hands-on experience with build automation technologies like Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc.Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress)Demonstrated experience with ServiceNowFamiliarity with KubernetesWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT.
