Custodian

This custodial role focuses on daily building upkeep and general maintenance in a manufacturing environment, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient facility. You will perform routine cleaning, support internal office moves, and assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and general housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and breakrooms on a routine basis, ensuring supplies remain stocked and areas remain hygienic.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, garbage, and recyclables from offices, production areas, and common spaces.
• Support internal office moves by assisting with the teardown, relocation, and assembly of office cubicles and related furniture.
• Carry out general building maintenance tasks, including startup procedures and light repairs as assigned.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing work within scope of basic maintenance, and report issues that require specialized attention.
• Clean interior and exterior areas of the building, including entrances, walkways, and other common areas, to maintain a neat appearance.
• Use industrial floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, and wet/dry vacuums to maintain floors in production and common areas.
• Clean around machinery and production areas while following sanitation protocols specific to manufacturing environments.
• Apply appropriate chemical cleaning methods for oils, grease, and industrial residues, following safety and handling procedures.
• Manage waste and recycling streams, including spill cleanup and containment, in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Track inventory of cleaning supplies and notify appropriate personnel when stock needs replenishment.
• Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues promptly to supervisors or appropriate staff.
• Identify potential hazards, leaks, or unsafe conditions and take appropriate action or escalate as needed.
• Follow established procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards, including awareness of Lockout/Tagout boundaries.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, production staff, and coworkers to coordinate cleaning activities around production schedules.
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently while demonstrating strong time management and reliability.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs on industrial equipment within the scope of custodial responsibilities.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services in an industrial or similar setting.
• Proficiency in sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and general janitorial duties.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks, including moving, lifting, and handling equipment and materials.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, respirators, and steel-toe footwear.
• Basic understanding of hazardous materials handling and safe chemical usage.
• Awareness of Lockout/Tagout boundaries and the importance of working safely around machinery.
• Experience using industrial floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning techniques for oils, grease, and industrial residues.
• Familiarity with waste and recycling management, including spill cleanup and containment.
• Ability to follow sanitation protocols specific to manufacturing environments.
• Experience in routine restroom and breakroom sanitation.
• Capability to work around production schedules with strong time management skills.
• Clear and professional communication with supervisors and production staff.
• Reliability, consistent attendance, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures and guidelines.
• Capability to lift 50 to 100 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
• General experience with industrial equipment and the ability to perform preventative maintenance repairs.
• Knowledge of basic manual work techniques and safe work practices.

• Experience in customer service or home care environments that demonstrates strong service orientation and attention to detail.
• Strong observation skills to identify hazards, leaks, or maintenance needs quickly.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting where you will work both in production areas and office spaces. You will frequently operate industrial cleaning equipment such as auto-scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, and wet/dry vacuums, and use chemical cleaning agents for oils, grease, and industrial residues. The position requires regular use of personal protective equipment, including gloves, goggles, respirators, and steel-toe footwear, to ensure safety around machinery and in areas with potential hazards. You will navigate active production areas, coordinate tasks around production schedules, and perform both indoor and some exterior cleaning tasks. The environment is hands-on and physically demanding, with regular lifting of 50 to 100 pounds and ongoing movement throughout the facility to support daily operations.

Must be able to work 6am-6pm ( 6 days a week)- We do offer $200 per diem per week

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pampa, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Pampa,TX.
