Family Law paralegal (Onsite-Full time)

Role Description

The Family Law Paralegal will support attorneys with all aspects of case management in a full-time, on-site role located in Scottsdale, AZ. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and filing pleadings and disclosure statements, drafting correspondence and settlement documents, organizing and maintaining case files, and managing deadlines and court dates. The paralegal will communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff; assist with discovery, including document collection, review, and production; and help prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, and trials. Additional responsibilities may involve maintaining the case calendar, tracking billing entries, and ensuring that all documents comply with Arizona family law rules and local court procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong legal drafting and writing skills, including experience preparing pleadings, motions, and correspondence in a family law context.

Candidates should possess case management and organizational skills, such as maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating calendars for hearings and meetings.

Candidates should possess research and analytical skills, including the ability to review statutes, court rules, and case documents to support attorney work product.

Candidates should possess client communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information and interact with clients in emotionally charged situations.

Candidates should possess proficiency with law office technology, such as case management software, e-filing systems, document management tools, and standard office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF tools).

Paralegal certificate or relevant legal education, and prior experience as a family law paralegal or legal assistant in Arizona, are strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Arizona family law procedures, local court rules, and e-filing requirements, along with strong attention to detail and reliability, is beneficial.
