Radiology - CT Tech

CT Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, 12-hour shifts (3/12's)

The CT Technologist coordinates and participates in all computerized tomography scanning procedures, setting up, monitoring, and operating complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor computer operation of C.T. equipment per patient, ensuring safety during patient transfers and positioning.
• Obtain required patient identification and vital information, including known allergies and medical history.
• Properly prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as needed based on Radiologist protocols.
• Make and develop images for permanent patient records and systematically organize daily patient schedules.
• Maintain image quality through daily calibration and quality control of equipment, ensuring adherence to department guidelines.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and be prepared to assist in emergency medical situations.
• Instruct new personnel and assist Radiologists with specialized radiological procedures.
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of CT experience required.
• Experience with Phillips equipment required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ARRT certification required.
