Carpenter I

The Building Operations Services (BOS) Section of the Facilities Management Division (FMD) is seeking a journey-level Carpenter I to serve in a locksmith-focused assignment supporting King County facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial locks, keying systems, door hardware, key control, and related security hardware. This position will primarily perform locksmith duties, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electronic locking systems and associated door hardware. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, good customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability and willingness to learn new locking systems, security hardware, software, and related technologies.

BOS maintains approximately 3 million square feet of facilities where King County provides regional services, including courthouses, detention facilities, health care facilities, office buildings, and other County-operated facilities.
