Pay: $32.76–$36.34/hr. DOE
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 384-bed community teaching hospital, is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team. Provide personalized, evidence-based therapy to patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or chronic pain conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings.
Your Role:
- Deliver prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an OTR
- Assist with ADL training, adaptive equipment instruction, and home exercise programs
- Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to meet individualized goals
- Support student OTAs through supervision and mentoring
- Maintain documentation, equipment, and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited COTA program with fieldwork completed Current NYS licensure or eligibility as a COTA Strong communication, organizational, and patient-centered care skills Ability to manage a caseload of 8–14 patients/day
