Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery/Perinatal License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: - BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted - Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics - Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service Description: The facility is designated as Level IV Client. It consists of 26 labor, delivery, and recovery suites. There are also low intervention rooms, 6 C-section suites, and 14 triage rooms. The facility includes 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms and 16 monitored antepartum rooms. This is an academic teaching service as well as a large private OB practices. It operates a high-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing over 500 deliveries per month. There is 24-hour in-house attending OB coverage, anesthesia coverage, and NICU coverage. A perinatal transport program is also in place. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NRP. Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service, STABLE Program certification, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification is also preferred.
