Job Overview

• Role: Sanitation Associate in food manufacturing
• Shift: 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30/6:00 AM)
• Pay: $21.50/hr
• Focus: Maintain cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene standards

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize plant surfaces, equipment, and production areas
• Follow GMP, SSOP, and USDA food safety standards
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely
• Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately
• Prevent cross-contamination and manage water usage
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Use cleaning tools (hoses, scrubbers, etc.) effectively
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, IIPP)
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns
• Prepare equipment for production after cleaning
• Maintain hygiene, PPE, and uniform standards
• Communicate with team and support production needs

Essential Skills

• Experience in sanitation/cleaning in food or production environment
• Knowledge of GMP, SSOP, and food safety practices
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting, standing, bending)
• Comfortable in wet, cold/hot environments (35°F–85°F)
• Ability to work near machinery and noise
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable and able to work overnight shifts
• Basic English reading and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Food manufacturing or sanitation experience
• Spanish language skills (plus)
• Janitorial or general labor experience
• Positive attitude and adaptability
• Familiarity with GMP attire and hygiene standards

Work Environment

• Food manufacturing facility with smells, wet floors
• Exposure to hot water (up to 150°F) and temperature variations
• Physically demanding tasks (standing, climbing, lifting)
• Requires PPE (smocks, hair nets, etc.)
• Strict cleanliness and safety standards

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
