About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience preferred, but will consider candidates with 1 year of experience. License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH Must-Have: Prior experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Description: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will work nights. This position requires the ability to handle a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics. The average daily census is approximately 130 patients, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Candidates must have experience with various emergency diagnoses and procedures. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holidays are required as per the scheduled rotation. Floating within the specialty is required. The role includes managing acute medical and psychiatric conditions. Key skills include IV management, triage, and emergency medications. Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic, is preferred. The hospital handles patients with a wide range of medical emergencies. All candidates must possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIH. Travel experience is required for this position. The schedule will consist of three 12-hour shifts a week. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
