About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, EPIC experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum experience of 2 years in ICU - EPIC experience (hard stop) - Unit accepts first-time travelers Description: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience. Candidates must have experience with the EPIC charting system. Every other weekend coverage is required. There is no on-call requirement. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be needed. Compliance is essential to start on time; delays can result in pushbacks. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work two out of the three holidays. Fully compliant candidates can expect to complete onboarding requirements promptly. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Patient ratios are 2:1 during days, nights, and weekends. Experience with adult and geriatric populations is necessary. Skills required include vent management, central line care, and intensive care procedures. This role necessitates the ability to manage multi-system organ dysfunction and failure. Ongoing support from interdisciplinary teams is available. Travel experience is valued but not required.
