Accountant

Accountant – Regional Financial Accounting Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year. Competitive compensation package + bonus. Continuous learning and development opportunities. Responsibilities Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and review of financial reports/support as necessary. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicate financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. Oversee accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and submit monthly reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles. Interact with internal and external auditors to complete audits. Make entries and reconcile financials. Use JD Edwards and Oracle systems for financial management. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar financial software. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP). Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process. Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
