Closes September 6th , 2026 Salary $42,780.00 - $58,392.00 Annually. The indicated salary does not include the on-site 24/7 5% premium pay. This position ensures accurate time, attendance, and leave records while providing payroll support, conducting audits and reconciliations, and helping supervisors and employees resolve leave and scheduling issues. As a key connection between Green Hill School and DCYF Payroll, you’ll provide technical assistance, ensure compliance with policies and collective bargaining agreements, and help maintain the daily operations needed to provide a safe and healthy environment for youth. The Opportunity As a Fiscal Specialist at our Green Hill School facility, you’ll ensure accurate time, attendance, and leave records, support payroll, and help employees and supervisors resolve leave and scheduling issues. You’ll also provide guidance on policies and collective bargaining agreements while helping maintain the daily operations that support a safe and healthy environment for youth. Some Of What You'll Get To Do Compliance review exercises independent judgment to verify and apply rules and regulations. Work with supervisors to solve problem and attendance source document issues and take corrective action when necessary. Consultation and technical assistance to managers, supervisors and employees on the appropriate use and processing of leave including using Leave Tracker. Enter approved leave request, overtime, standby, call back, part‑time hours, shift differential and schedule changes into Leave Tracker and the HRMS payroll system. Prepare and enter fiscal calculations of part‑time hours, part‑time holiday accruals, shift differential, overtime, standby, and LWOP into Leave Tracker and HRMS payroll system. Audit and analyze leave balances in relation to the eligibility criteria for the various types of leave programs. Investigation of inquiries and problem resolution. Update Leave Tracker Property Screen with staff information as needed. Process temporary work schedule change requests. Main point of contact for Green Hill School and DCYF Payroll office. Required Qualifications Equivalent education/experience totaling three (3) years. OR Three (3) years fiscal record keeping experience that may include Human Resource Management System (HRMS) OR Leave Tracker system experience. AND The ability to take action to learn and grow. The ability to take action to meet the needs of others. In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all the following: Demonstrated experience with HRMS, AFRS, and Leave Tracker. Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles. Demonstrated working knowledge of Washington State leave and payroll processes.
