Coordinator III

: Overview: The Advancing Sustainability through Powered Infrastructure for Roadway Electrification (ASPIRE) Engineering Research Center is primarily funded through a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) with a number of other research projects funded by various federal, state, and private entities. The center includes over 300 participants across nine universities and has more than 50 industry and stakeholder partners. This position (Coordinator III) reports directly to the center Administrative Director. The Coordinator performs a combination of program-related and/or administrative functions in support of the center's administrators, faculty, academic, and/or research staff, programs, and events as assigned. Responsibilities:

• Provide support to administrators, faculty, academic, and/or research staff, programs, and events.
• Perform office management duties which may include managing schedules/calendars, scheduling meetings, creating and processing forms, and keeping records as appropriate.
• Greet and direct center visitors.
• Manage assigned tasks associated with onboarding new center faculty, staff, and students. Initiating and maintaining access to center's many tools/systems, building access, and information.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Provide training, instruction, liaison services and/or consultation to students, faculty, and/or staff on center policies and procedures.
• Coordinate program/center activities including conferences and events as assigned to include but not limited to registration, logistical arrangements, travel arrangements, and on-site coordination.
• Write, edit, and coordinate the development of promotional materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as requested.
• Coordinate the day-to-day purchasing of lab supplies and receipt management.
• Create and/or maintain certain areas of content for center website.
• May train, supervise, and evaluate student employees as needed.
• Work independently as assigned to provide high-level administrative support to groups or events within the center.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

• Four years of experience; or an associate's degree plus two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Event planning experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skilled in the use of computers and the Office suite, in particular Excel.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
• Skilled at records maintenance.
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
• Database management skills.
• Knowledge of office management principles and procedures.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
• Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
• Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures preferred but not required.
