ATA Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare large quantities of a variety of foods in an institutional kitchen setting.

• Pay Rate: $21.50/hour with weekly pay
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Saturday–Wednesday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM ( Schedule rotates every four weeks)
• Location:  Roswell, NM  

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare large quantities of a variety of foods in an institutional kitchen setting. The Cook will prepare meals and baked goods according to established recipes while maintaining quality and consistency.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, sauces, baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
• Prepare large quantities of food while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Independently prepare and adjust recipes for bread, pastries, and desserts as needed.
• Measure, mix, and cook ingredients using a variety of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Train and assist less-experienced kitchen staff.
• Establish priorities and complete work with general supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of directly related cooking or baking experience preparing large quantities of food.
• Ability to follow recipes and safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a busy kitchen environment.
