This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM. Some weekend call shifts and one night of call approximately every 7-12 days.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The candidate will be involved with a variety of procedures including Colonoscopies, EGDs, Endobronchial Ultrasound Scopes (EBUS), and more. The position requires proficiency with various endoscopic instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures such as biopsies, dilations, and foreign body removals.
• Perform high-level disinfection and cleaning of instruments and rooms after procedures.
• Prepare and set up for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functional.
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in GI/Endoscopy.
• Must hold a valid New York RN license.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
