Scale House Operator

The Scale House Operator supports daily operations by processing customer weights, preparing tickets and manifests, maintaining records, answering phones, and providing administrative support to the Operations Department. This role requires accuracy, organization, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record inbound and outbound customer weights and prepare weight tickets.
• Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
• Prepare and distribute Local Waste Manifests and operational reports.
• Maintain records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to support daily operations.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Operations.
• Maintain accurate data and records.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods and work at a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Hours: M-F 5:45am - 2:15pm

Pay Rate: $20-28/hour
