Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Rochester, New York. Start date: 07/20/2026. Travel - temporary assignment for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,055–$2,130 per week. Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N). Guaranteed hours: 13 weeks (contract). Setting: hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, delivering care grounded in established standards.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, respond to clinical changes, and document in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care and support timely discharge planning.
- Assume an expanded role when assigned, including potential charge nurse duties, precepting new staff, and participation in unit committees as appropriate.
- Participate in a rotating schedule (D/E/N) with every-other-weekend coverage, holidays, on-call and callback duties as unit needs dictate.
- Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; ensure telemetry readiness and timely escalation of abnormal findings.

Requirements
- NY RN license required (active). BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in rotating shifts, on-call, and callback as needed.
- Telemetry experience and competency with adult Med Surg patients.
