- Conduct thorough assessments to establish the specific needs and treatment goals for each patient seeking help with substance use disorders. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. \n
- Lead individual and group therapy sessions where patients can express their challenges and share recovery strategies. \n
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to integrate care effectively and ensure the best outcomes for our patients. \n
- Provide crisis intervention to patients experiencing acute substance-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate support. \n
- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to foster a supportive recovery environment. \n
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. \n
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and integrate new best practices. \n
- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to continuously elevate the care we provide. \n
This role focuses primarily on individuals who are facing challenges related to substance use disorders. Your expertise will directly impact patients seeking to overcome addiction, as well as their families, who also require guidance and support throughout the recovery process. Our therapists are committed to helping these individuals navigate the complex emotions and situations often associated with addiction.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist in the state of California. \n
- In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment models, and recovery-oriented practices. \n
- Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly in the context of addiction treatment. \n
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a non-judgmental and empathetic approach with clients. \n
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information. \n
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications for patient management. \n
- Strong collaborative mindset for working within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to patient care. \n
While the minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, candidates with advanced degrees are encouraged, as well as those with clinical experience specifically in addiction recovery settings. Additionally, familiarity with telehealth practices and innovative treatment methodologies is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
