This role will ensure effective execution across all HR functions and partners closely with the HR Director on strategic initiatives. - Develop, implement, and monitor HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives, serving as the primary owner of day-to-day HR operations.
- Own and oversee multi-state payroll operations and compliance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead the recruitment function, including recruiter/vendor recommendations, and drive strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead and continuously improve the performance management framework, including appraisal processes, feedback practices, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and serve as a resource for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and investigations.
- Lead training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career progression.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration to ensure competitive and equitable offerings.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support decision-making and workforce planning.
- Lead HR projects, including organizational and change management initiatives.
- Own the accuracy and integrity of HR systems, records, and reporting, leveraging HRIS data to drive insights and process improvements.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and development for HR team member(s), ensuring effective performance and growth.
- Partner with the HR Director, providing regular updates on employee relations, compliance matters, and key HR initiatives, while independently managing routine HR operations.
- Make recommendations and decisions on HR matters, escalating complex or high-risk issues as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Experience managing or supporting multi-state payroll operations, including tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience leveraging systems for reporting and process improvement.
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
- Ability to partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational initiatives.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Experience in a remote, multi-state work environment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
