Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a home care position - 1:1 Care (3 - 4 Months). That’s an extremely complex and medically fragile situation. An 18-year-old with Sulfite Oxidase Deficiency, profound developmental delay, progressive Dystonia, severe Scoliosis, and NG tube dependence is going to require continuous, high-skill caregiving.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Airway and feeding management (NGT monitoring, aspiration risk). 
• Frequent repositioning (to prevent pressure ulcers).
• Wound care (which can become medically serious quickly). 
• Tone/posturing management (dystonia can cause pain and injury). 
• Total assistance with all activities of daily living.
• Close monitoring for complications (infection, respiratory issues, nutrition). 
• Given the weight (~70 lbs) and bedridden status, there’s also a high risk of skin breakdown, contractures, and respiratory complications , so consistent, trained care is critical.
