Mechanic IIKSB GIW, Inc.Department: Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Location: Grovetown, Georgia Shift: 1stFLSA Status: Non-ExemptOVERVIEW :Maintenance Mechanic II plays a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient plant operations by performing skilled preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing and support equipment. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving equipment issues, installing new machinery, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and compliance with company standards. The Maintenance Mechanic II collaborates with other team members to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and contribute to a safe, well-maintained work environment, helping drive operational success and support organizational goalsRESPONSIBILITIES:Follow plant safety and environmental policies when performing all tasksMaintain high quality standards in all workInstall and start up new manufacturing or support equipment, including assembly, wiring, and equipment adjustmentsDiagnose and repair basic electrical issues in plant equipmentTroubleshoot and repair PLC machine controls, motor controls, AC/DC drives, temperature controls, gas burner controls, induction furnaces, and common industrial instrumentationIdentify and repair malfunctions in CNC machine controlsAddress mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lighting systems issues throughout the plantCarry out preventive maintenance and inspections according to documented proceduresHelp develop preventive maintenance schedules using OEM and component manualsRepair or rebuild electrical equipment componentsInstall conduit, cable trays, and other wiring systems as requiredMIG and stick weld nonstructural components as neededUse oxygen acetylene for cutting and brazingPerform other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Shift Team LeaderQUALIFICATIONS:· Education: 2-year technical degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent combination of training and experience· Experience: 4 years of industrial maintenance experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:· Frequently:Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stoopingLifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.· Occasionally:Overhead workClimbing ladders or stairsDriving forkliftsOperating cranesKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
