In this role, you will lead capital equipment and facility improvement projects that drive operational excellence, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction across our manufacturing and supply chain network.You will partner closely with Operations, Safety, Quality, Finance, and Engineering teams to manage projects from concept through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to performance expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with project leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.What You'll DoLead capital equipment and facility improvement projects from planning through implementation.Develop project scopes, equipment layouts, timelines, budgets, and business justifications.Prepare capital expenditure requests and support project approval processes.Manage project execution activities, including:Vendor selection and contractor managementRequest for proposal (RFP) and quote processesPurchase order creation and trackingEquipment installation, commissioning, and startupCollaborate with Operations, Safety, and Quality teams to ensure projects align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Ensure safe work practices are followed by employees, contractors, and suppliers throughout project execution.Track, monitor, and communicate project progress, costs, risks, and milestones.Coordinate equipment and process training for plant personnel as needed.Ensure successful project closeout, including documentation, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and spare parts inventories.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.What Success Looks LikeKey performance indicators for this role include:Successful delivery of capital projects on schedule and within budgetCost savings and operational efficiency improvementsEnhanced safety performance and injury reduction initiativesHigh levels of customer and stakeholder satisfactionImproved equipment reliability and operational performanceWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.3 to 5 years of Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Project Management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.Preferred QualificationsProject Management certification or formal project management training.Experience within manufacturing, material handling, logistics, or supply chain operations.Experience working with capital equipment projects.Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities.Technical SkillsExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:Project management tools such as Microsoft ProjectAutoCAD or other 2D CAD softwareConveyor systems and material handling equipmentRobotics and industrial automation systemsIndustrial electrical systems, process piping, and machine safeguardingCapital investment analysis, including ROI, IRR, and NPV methodologiesBudget management and capital expenditure planningRoot cause analysis and problem-solving methodologiesRemote TypeHybrid RemoteSkills to succeed in the roleAdaptability, Empathy, Experimentation, Taking Ownership, Teamwork, Understand CustomersWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to developing a diverse workforce in which everyone is treated fairly, with respect, and has the opportunity to contribute to business success while realizing his or her potential.
