Utility Coordinator

Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Utility Coordinator in Lexington, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; or North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating with utility providers in relation to DOT transportation projects
• Evaluating potential conflict points with existing utilities

• Assist with the interpretation of highway construction plans, drainage layouts, specifications to identify utility impacts
• Attend field meetings and site investigations as required

• Effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments

• Use computer-aided drafting and design software to develop and produce drawings

A valid driver's license is required.

The successful candidate must have the following:

Associate degree (or higher) in engineering or related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR if no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Familiar with SCDOT procedures and preferences for coordination of utility relocations

• Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software

• Familiar with utility providers of electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and sewer utility services in SC
