Position Overview

ProActive Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is designed to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced therapeutic equipment. Our interdisciplinary team comprises Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, all collaborating to optimize patient care and recovery outcomes. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient appointments and clinical demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient conditions to develop individualized treatment plans that address specific rehabilitation goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and a variety of modalities to promote healing and enhance physical abilities.
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercise, body mechanics, and home exercise regimens to support ongoing recovery efforts.
• Administer physical therapy modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and manual therapy techniques, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Document patient progress meticulously by tracking improvements in strength, mobility, and functional independence, utilizing our clinic's electronic health record system.
• Prepare treatment spaces for therapy sessions by organizing necessary equipment and ensuring a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to pioneer patient care initiatives and share insights on therapeutic strategies.
• Provide compassionate support to patients, instilling motivational techniques conducive to a positive rehabilitation experience.
• Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality and privacy throughout the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility caters to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports-related injuries, and age-related conditions. You will work with patients of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors, adapting treatment plans to meet varied physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs. Your role is critical in fostering a nurturing environment that encourages patients to engage actively in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for state certification and a valid physical therapy license to practice in Tennessee.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred but we welcome recent graduates with relevant clinical placements. Experience in treating patients with diverse rehabilitation needs will be a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits
