Sonographer - Diagnostic

Ultrasound TechnicianUltrasound Tech needed asap for 13 weeks. Shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7am-1730 and 1-2 days of call per week.EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from accredited ultrasound program required.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: A.R.D.M.S certification and New Mexico State license in Ultrasound required. New graduates will have six months to complete A.R.D.M.S. certification and New Mexico State license in Ultrasound. Registration in abdomen and OB/GYN preferred. OB/GYN certification required within the first 12 months of date of hire. BLS certification required within 1 month of hire date.SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of sonographic procedures, equipment, and anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. As well as knowledge of advance procedures such as biopsy and thoracenteses.EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-year ultrasound experience preferred.Bloodborne pathogen C Exposure to various body fluids.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts, transfers and positions patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
