Job Details Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Technician (Permanent) Salary: $25 - $48 per hour Location: Construction industry – serving commercial and residential buildings. This role is hosted by Maria Ardon and requires a dedicated professional with strong problem‑solving skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm service, including expertise in video surveillance, access control, installation, NICET certification, CSA compliance, and troubleshooting. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position is required. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance. Respond to emergency calls for fire alarm malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Program and test fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Integrate access control and video surveillance systems with fire alarm systems. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients regarding system installation and maintenance. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the fire alarm service industry. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during work execution. Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in fire alarm service and maintenance. Proficiency in video surveillance, access control, installation, and troubleshooting. Certification in NICET and CSA required. Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, including design, installation, and functionality. Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions effectively. Solid understanding of building codes and safety standards related to fire alarm systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical details to non‑technical clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours. High level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
