Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care for adult patients on an acute neuro unit, including neuro assessments and daily care.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IV therapies, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Perform serial neurological checks, document findings accurately, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case management to develop and adjust care plans and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record; ensure safety, infection control, and patient privacy.
- Support patient and family education, coordinate transitions of care, and ensure smooth handoffs during shift changes.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the Med Surg/neuro specialty in an acute care setting
- Certifications: BLS and NIH Certification required; ACLS preferred
- 12-hour day shift capability on a 12x3 schedule in an acute neuro unit
- Ability to work effectively in a high-paced hospital environment and participate in interdisciplinary teamwork
- Demonstrated clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
