Responsibilities Maintain appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act. Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders. Implement and evaluate care plans. Identify and secure equipment supplies. Direct and oversee subordinates. Participate in duty assignments. Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments. Oversee and monitor subordinate staff activities. Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action, discipline, and training. Monitor infection control compliance. Investigate and document accidents and incidents. Requirements Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice. Previous skilled nursing experience. Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
