Maintains patient record and documentation according to policy. Uses Meditech software proficiently.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN. Works as a member of a team to assist with milieu management and performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety (rounds/safety searches).

Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Ensures timely and accurate communication of patient information with all members of the treatment team.

Leads or Co-Leads educational and diversionary groups for adolescents, adults, and substance abuse patients. Documents group progress notes for each patient each group.

Adheres to all applicable policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the Hospital

Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficiency.

Follows established confidentiality policies (written, verbal, electronic and digital).

Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth.

Other duties as assigned.

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
