We are now accepting resume/applications for EXPERIENCED Excavator Operators for the Thibodaux, LA and surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING AN EXCAVATOR
Must be able to transport/move material efficiently
Will be operating on existing canals and/or levees
Required Skills:
- Proficient in excavators of all sizes, haul trucks, loaders and skid steers with some experience on dozer as well.
- Well versed handling trench boxes of all sizes and shapes
- Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
- Ability to work independently and self motivated
- Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
Duties/Responsibilites:
- Safe operation of excavator
- Operate machinery to perform activities such as excavations, backfilling, trenching, ditching, slope work, erosion control, grubbing, stumping, clearing, looming, fine grading and final clean up
- Observe hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications
- Handling and/or moving material
- Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
- Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
- Daily maintenance of equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
- Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
- Have endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Required Credentials:
- Driver's License/Identification
- Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
Must provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, & gloves)
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a DISA Drug screen, physical, and background check.
Pay:
- TBD (DOE)
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
Schedule:
- 10-12 Hour Days
- Monday - Friday
- Weekends (as needed)
Duration of Job: Approximately 4 years
