Welder Position in Alma, MIOur client, in Alma, MI is seeking a welder to join their team. As a welder, you will be part of the fabrication process supporting a multifunctional team environment. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and clear verbal and written communication, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: WelderLocation: ALMA, MIPay Range: $22.10Shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm overtime can be scheduled until 4:30 pm and include SaturdaysWhat's the Job?Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working in the welding areaFollow pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent workRead order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to produce each order to specificationsUse MIG and TIG welding techniques and various hand tools to fabricate tubes, wall frames, and/or furniture frames using aluminum materials (including anodized aluminum)Complete job duties within given time constraints, cross-train between different jobs, and clean and maintain the work areaWhat's Needed?High school diploma or GEDPrevious MIG and TIG welding experience (required)Attention to detail and the ability to notice errors and/or defects through strong visual judgmentAbility to accurately read a tape measure and follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to work in a fast-paced, multifunctional team-oriented work environment and work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week)What's in it for me?Opportunity to build and fabricate a variety of aluminum-based products, including tubes, wall frames, and furniture framesHands-on role with structured job travelers and engineered drawings to support quality and consistencyCross-training across several different jobs to expand your welding and fabrication skillsClear expectations around time constraints, quality methods, and continuous improvementA team-focused environment where you can contribute to efficient workflow and production goals
