Parts Counter - South Houston Nissan

Job Summary The Parts Counter primary duty is to order and sell a variety of vehicle parts and accessories. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties/Responsibilities Answer phone calls and respond to questions and requests about parts. Coordinate with the service team to ensure parts are available or ordered promptly when needed. Receive, unpack, log and store parts. Track inventory and input items into the company log to ensure accurate inventory counts. Assist customers in determining what parts they need. Process payments and returns when necessary. Other tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Possess mechanical and auto parts knowledge. Ability to understand sales training and new product information. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Punctual, reliable and must have good communication skills. Education And Experience Valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Reynolds & Reynolds knowledge is a plus. Physical Requirements May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs. Good hand-eye coordination. Prolonged periods of standing. Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
