SUMMARY: Responsible for checking the final product to assure it is in compliance with the product specifications. Must perform numerous measurements of the product and keep quality audit records.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for completing process inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process. Accurately and completely fill out records of such inspections including resolution of any problems identified.
- Verify all change over and new product set-ups.
- Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to assure the properly trained and capable individuals are assigned to each position on the manufacturing floor.
- Perform finished goods/dock audits on product prior to release to the warehouse staging area.
- Assure the ongoing care and condition of gages, test pieces and fit parts.
- Review all of your shift quality paperwork and check it for completeness and accuracy.
- Complete nonconforming material reports and assure proper tagging and isolation of nonconforming material.
- Complete random inspections of product at various points along the manufacturing process to assure quality and as a test of machine stability.
- Monitor product quality plans to assure all necessary procedures and paperwork has been completed and is available where needed.
- Complete First Piece and Last Piece inspections.
- Report all nonconformances to the shift supervisor as well as the quality technician.
- Complete detailed dimensional and functional testing and inspection as required by quality plan.
- Assist with break periods when time allows.
- Auditor will communicate at all times with floor supervision and management personnel with a positive and professional response at all times.
- Remove boxes from the production floor and place in the staging area.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Should be detail oriented
- Familiar with measuring devices and auditing procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 pounds for long periods of time.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Requires the completion of high school or a GED certificate.
