Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, tasked with loading and unloading trailers, supporting production processes, verifying shipments, and assisting with inventory management activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload outbound and inbound trailers, ensuring proper documentation is prepared.
• Support production activities by staging production materials and removing finished products from the production floor.
• Reconcile product pull sheets with production to ensure accuracy.
• Perform accurate product counts, freight damage assessments, QA check-in inspections, and discrepancy reporting for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage the upkeep and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Stock shelves efficiently.
• Assist with daily inbound and outbound UPS/FedEx shipments.
• Conduct daily equipment checks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in forklift operation and certification.
• Experience in picking, packing, general labor, material handling, unloading, shipping and receiving, production, order picking, heavy lifting, loading, and warehouse packing.
• Ability to lift 65 pounds, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to work in extreme heat and/or cold conditions as weather dictates.
• Flexibility to work some weekend hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• One year of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to work with hay and hay-based products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding and following written and verbal instructions in English.

Work Environment

The work environment involves handling hay or grass, requiring no grass allergies. Working hours are Mon-Fri: First Shift 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Second Shift 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm. Alternatively, Mon-Thurs: First Shift 6:00 am - 4:00 pm and Second Shift 4:00 pm - 2:00 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
