LPN Charge Nurse

Full Time LPN Charge NurseWe are currently seeking a Full Time LPN Charge Nurse to join our enthusiastic team at The Hearth at Drexel! The Hearth at Drexel is a premier retirement community in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We take pride in our dedicated team members who support and care for our residents.Shift/Schedule Available: Full Time - 7:00pm-7:00am, 12 hour shift, 72 hours per pay.Some job responsibilities include:The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to residents; to plan their care; to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by household staff and other nursing personnel; to monitor the performance of household staff, nursing and non-licensed personnel; provide education and counseling; perform counseling, educational, and corrective action as necessary; and complete performance evaluations.Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including household staff comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Facility.Evaluate/assess all residents with a change in condition daily, including suspected abuse.Ensure physician/family notification and documentation of changes in condition.Ensure proper procedures and policies for assisting with medications including accuracy, documentation, orders, etc., are followed for every medication daily.Complete admission/discharge procedures.Education and Experience:Must possess at a minimum a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/LVN/ program.Current CPR certification.Three (3) years' experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred.Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/LVN in this state.Here are just some of the benefits of coming to work for The Hearth at Drexel:Industry leading paid time offOutstanding Medical/Dental/Vision careCompany paid Life insuranceRetirement Savings PlanTuition Assistance ProgramYearly evaluations and pay increasesPAID 6-week Sabbatical program available after every 7 years of full time service.Liberty Lutheran Family of Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
