Summary:
This role involves creating and driving plans and roadmaps for research studies and/or programs for a feature area, product, product line, or service(s) with direction. The researcher applies research methods for effective execution and uses sense-making/analysis to synthesize and distill data. They share insights to activate design and engineering processes and begin to conduct research that identifies and clarifies customer needs and contexts. The role contributes to forming solutions and assesses user insights along the user journey. The researcher also produces research-driven insights on industry trends and collaborates with others for cross-disciplinary research efforts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with others for cross-disciplinary research efforts resulting in strong product outcomes.
• Recruit for programs and participation in research for a feature area.
• Review data collection instruments ensuring privacy and security compliance.
• Provide effective tools and templates for product makers to capture assumptions and express them as testable hypotheses.
• Apply experience check points to ensure accountability of product quality.
• Conduct iterative research with cross-disciplinary product teams.
• Assess user insights along the user journey from awareness, through adoption, and retention.
• Share insights to activate design and engineering processes from insights.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in relevant fields such as Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, or equivalent experience with 1 year of User Experience Research experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 years of User Experience Research experience or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of relevant domain experience within the technology sector.
• 1 year of experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design.

Skills

• Proficiency in English language, clear and accurate oral and written communication, presentations, and research writing.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and user scenario creation.
• Strong analytical thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, and translation of insights.
• Ability in collaborative innovation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Skills in decision making, outcome-driven innovation, project management, and scope management.
• Creativity in interaction design, user experience, user interface design, and user-centered design.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $67.00 - $70.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
