What You'll Do:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room, covering surgeries, C-sections, PACU, and Endoscopy.
• Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain sterile techniques.
• Respond to emergency calls, arriving within 30 minutes when on call.
• Support patients and staff in a multi-disciplinary rural hospital setting.
• Follow unit protocols and assist with relief staffing as needed.

What You Need:

• Active Louisiana RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• At least 1 year of recent hospital RN experience
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work a consistent daytime schedule and respond to on-call requirements

About the Assignment:

This assignment is at a small rural hospital where your nursing skills will directly impact patient outcomes across various surgical specialties. The unit is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for OR surgery, C-sections, PACU, and Endoscopy. The first week includes buddy call shifts to help integrate into the team. While not a trauma center, emergency situations may occasionally arise, requiring prompt response. The facility values dedicated professionals committed to patient care and teamwork.
