About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 3+ years current Medical Surgical experience; previous travel experience preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience Description: Travelers must be able to work the posted schedule as needed. Requested time off during the course of the assignment must be noted and verified when applying. Requests for time off after submission will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Local travelers (within 50 miles) will not be considered for this position. Candidates must formulate an individualized plan of care and revise it as indicated by the patient's response to treatment. They will evaluate the effectiveness of the overall plan. Coordination and supervision of patient care is required as necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize job functions. Utilizing assessment data to identify patient care needs, including education and discharge planning, is essential. Abnormal assessment data must be recognized and reported, incorporating findings into the plan of care. Expected outcomes based on assessment should be validated and revised as necessary. Accurate and legible documentation of all patient care activities is required. Delegation of tasks to health care team members must be done appropriately. Patient population includes pediatric to geriatric. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with a potential for 1:7 at night. Dress code consists of any color scrubs.
