Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining plant equipment Experience with mechanical and electrical repairs on industrial machinery Previous experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts preferred Stable work history required Basic computer skills preferred Job Duties Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on facility buildings and equipment Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery and plant equipment Assist with preventive maintenance programs and equipment upkeep Carry tools and equipment to and from work areas Dismantle, move, and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed Clean machinery and prepare surfaces for repairs Monitor, maintain, and replenish lubrication systems on plant equipment Perform general facility and grounds maintenance tasks Operate oil vacuum systems to remove used lubricants Operate overhead cranes during maintenance and repair projects Fabricate equipment using blueprints, schematics, and measuring instruments Utilize grinders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and welding equipment Operate forklifts and manlifts for maintenance activities Use electrical testing equipment including voltage detectors, meggers, LCR meters, and oscilloscopes Maintain compliance with ISO quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies Complete maintenance paperwork and work orders accurately Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
