School Substitute Teacher

Follow assigned teacher lesson plans and classroom procedures.

Assume assigned classroom or educational assistant duties according to school policies.

Supervise students and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

Perform additional school duties as assigned, including lunchroom, bus, and hall supervision.

Follow established emergency procedures and student medical guidelines.

Maintain normal classroom routines and support student learning activities.

Report significant behavioral or disciplinary concerns to school administrators.

Protect student confidentiality and handle student information appropriately.

Report to the educational office upon arrival and dismissal.

Collaborate with school staff and follow administrative direction.

High school diploma or GED required.

60 college credit hours or less than a bachelor's degree.

Two years of college or a bachelor's degree preferred.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to work effectively with students and school staff.

Flexibility and sound judgment in a classroom environment.

Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.

Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to successfully complete required TBI/FBI background checks and fingerprinting.
