About the Position

Registered Nurse, Operating Room, 26 Weeks, Day, 3x12-Hour, 07:00 - 19:00, Minimum 2 Years of Experience, Valid State License Required, BLS Certification Required Description: Winter bill rate increase will be effective from October 4, 2026, through February 27, 2027. After February 27, 2027, the bill rate will automatically revert to the standard rate. Cancellations due to the rate change after signature will result in a systemwide Do Not Return status. Reach out to the Account Manager with any questions. Applicants need trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience due to trauma status. May need to cover one night shift within the contract as needed. Candidates should commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day). All requests for time off must be included during submission. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Daily census includes an average of 25 surgical cases. Specialty procedures may include orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN. The role involves performing various surgeries and handling emergency trauma cases. Scrub color and equipment specifics will be provided by the facility. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as needed. Communication devices necessary for duties will be provided at no cost. Plan for potential on-call hours, distributed equally among nursing staff. Professional conduct and adherence to protocols are essential for the role.
