We're seeking a dedicated and caring Teacher Assistant/Floater to join our team. As a key member of our childcare center, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young students. If you're passionate about working with children and have a strong desire to make a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our teaching staff to develop and implement engaging educational programs, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. Job Type: Part Time/Full Time

Pay: contingent on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday flexible between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience: Childcare facility 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: Newport News, VA

• Take ownership of maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom, ensuring our young learners have everything they need to thrive.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress updates, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Model good hygiene and self-help habits to promote healthy behaviors among our students.
• Ensure a smooth transition from home to child care center by providing a warm welcome and a sense of belonging for our children.
• Foster a culture of compliance by adhering to all center policies and state regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and continuously improving your skills to provide the best possible care for our children.
• Be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances and relocate within the center as needed.

• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a childcare facility setting.
• Will work with children between 6 weeks to 12 years old
• Required High school diploma or equivalent
