Employment Type: Full-Time Benefits: Health Insurance Build Your Career in Compounding Pharmacy What You’ll Do As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists to prepare customized medications according to established formulas, procedures, and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: Accurately prepare compounded medications under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist. Perform non-sterile compounding activities. Accurately weigh, measure, mix, compound, package, and label medications and pharmaceutical ingredients. Follow established formulas, compounding procedures, and quality-control processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment. Properly operate, clean, and maintain compounding equipment and work areas. Accurately document compounding activities, ingredients, lot numbers, expiration dates, and other required information. Perform pharmaceutical calculations and measurements accurately. Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and monitoring pharmaceutical ingredients and supplies. Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify and communicate potential errors, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the pharmacist. Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information. Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Qualifications Current Pharmacy Technician registration or certification as required by applicable state regulations. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred. Compounding experience strongly preferred. Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations. Ability to carefully follow detailed written procedures. Strong organizational skills. Dependable and punctual. Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
