Controller

Our client is a large nonprofit in the Worcester area seeking a Controller on a direct‑hire basis. This individual will report into the CFO. The role oversees the organization’s financial infrastructure – external financial reporting, tax and debt compliance, payroll, accounts payable, procurement, treasury operations, restricted funds, and internal controls. The organization operates on Workday, and this role will play a key part in systems governance and process improvement. The Controller will manage a team, serve as the primary liaison for external audits, and present financial information to leadership. Requirements 8+ years of progressive financial leadership in complex nonprofit organizations Experience managing external audits, including Uniform Guidance/A‑133 Leadership experience – hired, managed, and developed accounting staff Experience with fund accounting, restricted funds, or grants Preferences CPA Polaris Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
