Forklift Driver

The Forklift Driver is responsible for carrying out operations for the marina. The Forklift Driver's primary responsibility is the customer and their vessels. Every task at the marina from carefully handling the customers boats, to communicating effectively with the employee working the docks. The Forklift Driver projects a professional company image through all types of interactions. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.

Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places

Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor

Prior forklift experience - Marina experience preferable.

Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds

Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency

Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally

Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.
