Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday with every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule. Shift times vary between 0700-1530, 0730-1600, 0800-1630, or 0830-1700. Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period. No on-call required.

• Join a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 407 staffed beds and Level II Trauma designation
• Work with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 patients with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including social services, pharmacy, respiratory, and discharge planning teams
• Epic EMR experience required for seamless care coordination and documentation
• 24-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding and integration with the team
• 13-week assignment with the opportunity for extension (maximum 1 calendar year)
• Serve diverse patient populations across the lifespan including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand for offer consideration)
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required (behavioral health experience does not substitute)
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification preferred
• ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
• Experience with utilization of InterQual criteria, Milliman guidelines, CMS regulations, and medical necessity determination preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required
