Software Developer (TS/SCI CI Poly) (5303) (Chantilly, VA; Herndon, VA; Aurora, CO)

SMX has an immediate opportunity for a Software Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to our customer's challenging project and one who will thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands‑on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs. With a team of system and software engineers in a fast‑paced environment you will be an integral part of Intel Community programs. This role is on site Monday - Friday in either Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO. This position requires the Security+ certification and an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java. Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance. Utilize Jira for project management and tracking. Apply standards and protocols to ensure compliance and security. Required Skills/Experience Clearance: TS/SCI CI Polygraph On site support Monday - Friday in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO Security+ certification Experience in Java development utilizing various libraries such as SpringBoot, Mockito, Lombok, OpenAPI (Swagger) and other similar libraries developing RESTful services. The software application I is managed through Git and built using gradle. Other third‑party applications that are utilized: Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and/or NiFi. Applications are containerized and deployed to a Kubernetes cluster using Helm Charts. Desired Qualifications Experiences with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is also desired.
