About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred License: Valid State License Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience with both adult and pediatric patients Description: Start in a night shift position. The schedule consists of three consecutive 12-hour shifts, followed by 7 days off. Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off. Sunday is also off, and the cycle repeats. Local travelers must be greater than 30 miles from the facility. Ratios are 1:4. Every other weekend shift is required. Travelers need to be flexible with their schedules. Requests for specific block scheduling will not be accommodated. RTO must be discussed during the interview process. Experience in managing both adult and pediatric patients is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with charting systems, preferably Cerner. The facility has a total of 65 staffed beds. Daily patient census averages around 10 with approximately 24 visits per day. Unit disciplines include physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Required skills include management of multiple patient conditions and various emergency procedures. Experience with diverse patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics is expected.
