Position Responsibilities
· Electrical installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of automated machinery and machine tools
· Build and wire electrical control panels and machine assemblies
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine drawings
· Install and troubleshoot sensors, safety devices, motors, VFDs, servos, and electrical components
· Troubleshoot PLC-controlled automated equipment
· Assist with robot and automation system integration
· Perform electrical testing, startup, commissioning, and debugging of machinery
· Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls-related issues in a timely manner
· Work closely with mechanical, controls, and engineering teams during machine builds & installations
· Travel to customer facilities for equipment installation, startup, service, and troubleshooting
· Follow all applicable electrical, machine safety, and company standards
Qualifications
· Experience as a machine tool electrician, industrial electrician, automation electrician, or similar role
· Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
· Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs, servos, and safety circuits
· Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or machine tools is an asset
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to travel approximately 20%
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer facilities
